The Future
In the last issue, I wrote about the past of Spirit Circle, and promised some forecasts for the future. This is not nearly as easy an article to write as the last one was. After all, in the last one, I was merely reporting on what had happened in the past. But in this one, I have to prognosticate. And foretelling the future has never been my strong point. But I will give it a try. Some of the things that I will talk about here concern plans that we have already made and are working on. Others concern visions that we have had. When I say "we" I am talking not only about the administration, but also of some of our members.
Lets start with some of the things that are presently being planned. We can start that list with more classes, courses and workshops. Some are already being worked on, others are in the planning stage. Maia is making good progress on our herbal. There is a distinct possibility that when we get it completed that we may have it published and made available as the Spirit Circle Herbal. But that is a way down the road. We have also been talking about opening a community store on the site, where we will accept things made by our members for sale on a consignment basis. We also want to eventually eliminate the use of any and all third party services, such as the Bravenet forum. This will have several advantages. One of the big ones is the elimination of the pop up ads that they like to throw at us. So we are working toward that end. We are also looking to becoming incorporated and gain tax exempt status. This will make us eligible to receive grants. The next step after that is getting our name trademarked. The problem here is that neither becoming incorporated nor getting our name trademarked will be cheap.
Those are the major things that are in planning or being worked on. During out first year, we went from having 14 members at the beginning to 526 members. We increased our membership by over 37.5 times. But that growth is paltry compared to what is to come. We fully expect Spirit Circle to reach a membership of 100,000 within the next 10 years. At least, that is what Spirit keeps telling us. And a good portion of those members will be offline members. Obviously, there is no way that Joyce, Maia and I can administer an organization of that size by ourselves. Many have seen a "Spirit Circle Center" or headquarters. And subsidiary "centers" scattered around the world. From what I have just said, it should be obvious that means that we will have to have hired help. Some have seen us as being an accredited teaching organization for spiritual and metaphysical subjects.
There have been many things said in regard to developing one's psychic abilities. Over the course of the last year, I have heard over and over again,
"What am I doing wrong?"
" I am not getting this?"
"Is there something wrong with me?"
The answer to all of these questions when it comes to developing one's abilities, is simple, There is nothing wrong with you and there are no set ways so just relax and let it come to you and it will.
Think of your Spiritual and Psychic Development as a jar you hold tightly in your hands, the lid is tightly screwed on and you must open the jar without breaking it. Caution must be used, a relaxed mind, and patience. Impatience being one's worst enemy.
Not all of us are meant to develop into a John Edward or a Master teacher, not that we all do not have the inborn ability to do so. There are many factors as to why and why not. Simply we all have the same inner abilities, but it is OUR choice as to what we develop and what is needed.
Developing one's psychic abilities or increasing ones spiritual self, either way you choose to think, makes one, happier, relaxed and able to deal with life and it's lessons. When we think of life's obstacles as a lesson, we can use it as an opportunity for inner growth and development.
If we are faced with various life problems and if we meet the challenges of those problems head on,
"How do you feel?"
"What have you learned?"
"Are you a better person for the experience?"
My answer would be most definitely!
You may not think so at the time, but if you review moments in your life, and look at them in an analytical approach, you will see that you are better off for the experience. And most importantly, you have grown and are never again to be the person you once were.
Most of us, feel if we read a book on spiritualism, wicca, shamanism, or other spiritual paths and follow the exercises and the examples given, that will make us what we read, that isn't the case, it will validate what you be believe, will give you steps, but it will not give you total success.
The beginning of each spiritual path, begins in readying, the mind, the body the complete being. Simply put, if you wanted to be a champion you don't just jump to the top, you must prepare yourself, first the body, to be able to complete the task, the mind, and so forth.
Please don't mistake what I am saying that only those who are physically fit, will obtain spiritual enlightenment or develop psychic skills. That is not the case, but you must be free and open, well rested and relaxed. And you must believe in yourself.
You must study as much as you can on where you are being pulled. Learn the pro's and the con's of it. You must condition your mind, your body, and your spirit, and foremost, you must believe in what you are doing, For if you doubt it, it will not happen for you, no matter what you do or what you try.
You must remember, it will take years to develop to a point where you will reach "peak" ability. So if you are fairly new to the "new age" thought and are concerned that some of the exercises and "things" just aren't happening for you, think again for they are!
You may not see the progress but it is there, slow and steadily you are developing and growing.
This you just must trust and have faith in.
We as humans, have this feeling that if we can't see it, feel it, or sense it, it isn't happening, Trust me, for that is far from the truth.
One point that comes to my mind, is that we have this preconceived notion of what we intend to happen, again things don't always work the way we wish or think or hope for, for that matter.
Personal experience has taught me that. I had thought when Michael passed away that I would hear him, see him, some grand display would happen for me, because simply, I believed it would. I only set myself up for frustration and disappointment. This is the case for most people, we feel if we believe certain things, it will happen just because we do.
For the most part, the concepts of spirituality are simple, not easy in the sense that just because I know them and can recite them, doesn't make them happen it takes WORK. But then again, if it came easy to you, would you appreciate it as much. I. personally doubt you would.
Those who study the teachings of the Ascended Masters know, that they were just like us, with our doubts, our fears. They too learn that the lessons of Life are simple, yet they take work and patience, you can't just follow the teachings on weekends, or when you wish too, You must incorporate the teaching into daily, day to day life. Simply put, YOU must LIVE them.
Each must be willing to commit oneself to the principles; I tend to think one should consider them as a Master in training, for in part we all are.
Life is built on the foundation that all is recyclable, and that most definitely includes us as well. We have all read about the evolution of mankind, and in many ways, I tend to look at life in those terms. We are evolving, we are evolving as human beings and we are evolving each on their own individual basis.
The goal that we all are looking at is in Ascension to become Masters of Life, and the concept of reincarnation, as a tool to achieve mastery, we find a way to deal with what obstacles are in our way. We have the opportunity to deal successfully with or the opportunity to keep trying till we reach that "Higher Level" of consciousness.
Each lifetime puts us closer to the higher realms that we all are pulled to.
But I am getting ahead of myself here. Basic spiritual and psychic development begins with taking care of you. Eating, sleeping, nurturing yourself, not only physically, but spiritually as well. It is living life to it's fullest. And in the process of living life to it's fullest, and in doing daily what one believes, comes further enlightenment and inner peace and development. If you are not properly cared for, exercises for meditation, and other exercises will be difficult to do. In all areas of enrichment, the key is that they be done when well rested. The connection between mind and body is the main key to many things.
Self doubt is a contributing factor to ones inability to advance. The slightest I can't is a sure sign of failure. The key phrase one should use is I can.
A Daily affirmation of:
" I will"
" I can"
"I am"
are very important in spiritual growth and in developing psychic abilities. To keep an open mind and an open flow of energies will help for success in one's journey.
How do I know?
As in all things, faith is an issue; many things are not based and built upon facts much of life and what we believe is based strictly on faith and faith alone.
When you are asking for guidance from your spirit guides or an ascended master, just know that the answer you will need, notice I said, "need" will come. We don't always receive the answers we want or hope for, but we do always receive the answers we NEED.
You may say, I don't hear them when I ask. We always hear from our Masters or guides, my question is: are we always listening?
We may or may not hear them with our physical ear, but they will send us in the form of a thought, an idea, or somehow something comes up at the right time, just when we need it.
If you are faced with a decision and are listening to what advice you may wish from your guide or master teacher, do you not at times get thoughts that pertain to what you are seeking answers for. You may rule them out, because you don't like the solution, or you feel it isn't some grand answer you are searching for. But the answer you "heard" is from the source that you asked.
I was once told years ago, from my parents that I should always trust my first impression for it was the correct one. We may as humans talk ourselves out of the easier and most beneficial answer to life's dilemma's only because we are searching for a more complex answer, and that isn't always the case.
Spiritual and psychic development go hand in hand, the more you learn and the more you grow, the more advanced you will become in both area. The more relaxed you are with life and the more patience in areas that trouble you the more you grow, each day that you awaken to a new day, you are growing, each act of love, of kindness you give another, is watering the seeds of your spiritual and psychic growth.
You must not only study spiritualism and psychic development, you must live it on a daily, minute to minute basis, you must believe that each of us no matter what path we are on, no matter what our background is, is vital to each of us, the success or failure of another is my own, my success is theirs.
This is the true philosophy of love, to be unselfish to give and to receive in return the blessings of that love.
If we are all created in "God's Image", then we are all Godlike. We must look for that higher quality in each person we meet, and in all people. We must relate to that essence of each person.
We must realize and encourage not only our own growth, but also the growth of those around us. In doing this, we will soon realize that we are developing at a rapid pace. We are learning at a rapid pace and we are on our way to become Masters of Life.

I felt inspired to write this material for all of my light/worker friends in the community of Spirit Circle, and to anyone else that may feel so very weary sometimes holding up their integrity, and speaking their true hearts.
Ever listen so long and so hard to what everyone else is saying that you forget what you really believe yourself? Ever look into the mirror and say to yourself, "Who is this person? I forgot." Or, how about what everyone else needs? You are so busy filling up everyone else's baskets, you forget to fill-up your own. Its called running on empty, and it is just as important to fill-up your spiritual tank, as it is feed your body, feed your mind and gas up your car. Most of the spiritually gifted healers within our Spirit Circle community, and out into the world are becoming so connected, and I am so excited about this expansion of our light to heal, guide, and support one another. This is the spiritual substance we need. This is our chance to help some of our new inspiring healers to continue expressing their gifts. They have the support to say what they feel, begin to gain more confidence in their gifts, and trust in their hearts. New identities of spirit will be born, and more of the gifted will remember who they are. Thank you Spirit Circle for nourishing our souls.
What is Reiki? Reiki is a type of energy healing that works with the Universal Life Force energy for many reasons and - healing, relaxation, and connection with Spirit. (Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key), the Japanese word for Universal Life Force.) It works on many levels - physical, emotional and spiritual. Working with Reiki can improve overall energy and reduce stress. Reiki can help with physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances. By bringing the body (or object) into balance, improvements in health and well-being are inevitable. Reiki is a gentle, non-intrusive method of hands on healing, though Reiki can also be sent very effectively to those at a distance.
Reiki, discovered in the late 1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui who was enlightened to the technique while meditating, isn't a religion, so a client doesn't have to have a belief in any particular religion or philosophy for treatments to work. Since Reiki is guided by Spirit, the practitioner doesn't have to guide a person's Reiki energy-it goes where it wants to go and heals the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental parts of the body that need help.
In a treatment, the Reiki practitioner is a channel for the energy for the client. The energy used in Reiki healing is not the practitioner's energy-it's derived from Spirit The client themselves is part of the healing process, along with Spirit. While the client doesn't have to do much physically, their intention for healing is very important. In Reiki, the client should be open to receive the energy and be part of the process by noting any feelings, images, or messages that come up for them. Even if the client only feels a sense of relaxation, that's still a wonderful thing! (Who couldn't use some relaxation in our hectic life?) Things like this can be discussed with the Reiki practitioner during or after the session.
Also, Reiki can be used on animals, plants, food, rooms, and even cars! Reiki-ing objects can put positive energy into almost anything. For example, you can even Reiki your resume before sending it out to a potential employer to charge it with positive energy. Reiki has been used to treat many common ailments, including headaches, bruises, stress and depression. For example, Reiki is used with cancer patients to help ease the side effects of chemotherapy treatments. While Reiki is used to complement conventional medical practices, it is in no way a substitute for professional medical treatments. However, many people report that many side effects of illness are reduced or eliminated. Reiki can provide comfort and stress relief to those who are sick or undergoing treatment.
Each Reiki experience is as unique as the person receiving the treatment. Reiki is a wonderful experience that can benefit all!
