John and Jerry both saw an ad on the internet one day. It was for a "downline" club wherein you could become wealthy. The idea was that you would build a downline, or a group of people listed under you who had joined the program later than you did. And that the program itself would help you to build your downline.

John and Jerry both joined at the same time and were placed more or less side by side in the organization.

John immediately started to learn everything that he could about the organization, and worked to recruit people to join into his downline. He also worked with those under him, encouraging them and helping them to build their own downlines, after all, their downlines would be a part of his. Due to John's motivation and efforts, he soon had a hundred motivated people working under him and he was starting to realize a decent income.

Jerry on the other hand, believed that the program would build his downline for him, and that he really did not have to do anything in order to realize financial success. So he would glance at the newsletters that the program sent to him, scan the motivational emails and then forget about it, waiting for his success.

By the time that John had a hundred motivated people working under him, and was earning a decent income, Jerry had two people under him that were no more motivated than he was, and he had yet to receive the first bit of income from the program. Because of John's motivation, he was getting ahead. But Jerry was waiting to be spoon fed and was getting nowhere.

John and Jerry illustrate a lesson that can be applied to all aspects of life. You receive according to your motivation, and to the effort that you put into whatever activity that you care to mention.

As I sit before my computer this week, thinking of what I can say to each and every member, I find myself at a loss, well not really. What haven't I said in the last few weeks...month...year.

I have urged all members to get involved in Spirit Circle. I have asked, begged, and encouraged it's members to do presentations, classes, workshops, that would be not only beneficial to themselves but to others as well. What could I say that hasn't been said to you before in countless ways and means?

In this weeks correspondence with many Spirit Circle's members the common theme was, "Value."

What do you value?

Is Spirit Circle important to you?

And if so, what can you do to help it grow and flourish?

Are you an active member and if not, why?

We tend to be so critical of what organizations, politicians, religious leaders don't do for us, but what do we do to ensure success, not only ours, but what we join.

It is easy to sit on the sidelines, waiting for what information might be of benefit, and then to say, "there is nothing here for me" or "it is not meeting my needs." Then to simply email a please unsubscribe me note.

Spirit Circle is based on the foundation that its members are what keep it alive. The members within this community are the lifeblood of this community. It isn't Charles, Medea, or myself.

It is the membership, each and every member.

Those members who quietly wait and see what might be offered, or those who give so unselfishly of their time and talents to help encourage each members growth.

Each member is a valuable asset of Spirit Circle, without which Spirit Circle will not survive. Each of us has a role to ensure this community not just for now, but for years to come, when Charles and myself are nothing more than a mere memory of a day gone by.

You may be sitting there thinking, "Joyce, I don't have anything to offer," or "What could I possibility contribute?" The answer is simple, you have experiences, thoughts, and each of us possesses unique knowledge. I am not saying one needs to do a class, or a workshop. But learning comes with sharing what one feels. Our experiences, our thoughts, are valuable tools. Each of our paths, are unique, each of us carries into Spirit Circle a vast amount of "growth experiences."

For Spirit Circle to grow and flourish, to meet the needs of all people, we have members in various parts of the world who can help Spirit Circle by letting people know we do exist.

The saying "if you build it they will come," isn't always accurate, because people need to know. You can help the community simply by helping spread the word, that we are here.

As the world situation, (I know, here she goes,) continues to develop, the uncertainty of what will happen is awakening an inner call, a spiritual awakening. These people will need support groups, education, and a place to come. They will seek answers to questions, feelings. It is our hope that Spirit Circle and its members will be here strong and united, to help.

In the last few months, Spirit Circle Members have been a part of some wonderful and miraculous things, we have in our healing sessions helped a premature infant, who medical doctors had given up hope for survival, that child will be going home within a few days. It is not the first, or the last miracle. What it does show, is that Spirit Circle and its members are important.

May we all join hands and work to help spread light, love and peace to all mankind, and may we begin with each and every one of us, and start within our own community.

Stimulates Activity, Adaptibility, and Vitality on physical plane and helps piece together any differences between Mundane and Spiritual Identities.

CITRINE: See Above

LODESTONE: called the "Attractant Stone" because can be used to draw just about anything to user; Love, Courage, Cash, Friendship, Success, Health, Information/Solutions. Can also be used to "draw out" Negatives from body or situations (illness, pain, anger, etc) and will store them until purposely removed (i.e.- cleansed stone).
(Note: If you take it internally in large amounts, you will find yourself gently swinging to the North whenever you float in a pool of water.)

Stones of Sagittarius (Nov. 23-30)

SAPPHIRE (general): Dispels Frustration, Doubt and Worry and projects into user sense/power of Self Confidence enabling them to discover and make manifest the "good/light side" of their life and how to make the right actions in insure them happening (inspiration). Other Colors of Sapphire have more specific uses, but going into them here).

AMETHYST: Attunes one to the best possible choices and empowers him/her to be able to carry them to conclusion desired. Used to release Stress, Sharpen Mind/Wit, and helps deepen Meditation states. Helps curb Overindulgence and used to treat Addictions of whatever form. Works primarily through 3rd Eye chakra. And, if one spits on a piece and rubs it on affected skin area(s), will remove/clear up pimples according to Legend.

TOURQUOISE: a Stone of Protection; Evil Eye, Black Witchcraft, from poisoness Snakes and Spiders, Disease, Violence directed towards you and being thrown from a Horse (will also protect the Horse from injury and becoming over exerted). Has been used to treat Headaches, Eye disorders and Fevers. Traditional (for some) Love Indicator as if Turquoise is exchanged with "lover" as long as the Color remains "true" the Love is strong. If it starts to fade, the Love is on the wane and steps need to be taken to restore both.

TOPAZ: See Above

PEARL: Ditto

SODALITE: Promotes Insight and Wisdom, Self-Peace and Contentment. Dispels Nervousness, Fear, Anger, and Rage. Stimulates Subconscious/Psychic Self during Meditations and Astral traveling. (Note: a Poor Man's Lapis Luzuli. As far as I can determine, they have most of the same attributes and uses. The Big difference, to me, is Cost. Lapis comes primarily from Afghanistan and is considered a Precious Stone; Sodalite is mined in New Jersey and is considered a Rock. Whatever works for you)

SUGILITE: Stone of Peace and Harmony helping user to face Reality (and all THAT entails) without flinching too badly by filtering out of user environment discordant vibrations of Anger, Hostility, Prejudice, Jealousy, Discouragement, etc. Opens and attunes all of one's Chakras to Universal Light so that one might see clearly, discover, and accept/change ones place in the scheme of things more readily. Also called "Royal Azul" (Yet Another Note: Ok, I consider it to be "New Age Amethyst". Again a case of basic duplication of uses/attributes but big difference in Cost. Of course, Sugilite thusly can also empower one with "Class and Status" I suppose.)

Pagan Pride

This essay is to be about Pagan Pride. I am proud of my heritage, my family, my universe, and my country. I am proud of who I am and how I present myself to the world.

I do not hide my convictions, nor do I announce them either. But, I will certainly tell anyone who asks my views on any subject.

Everyone has a path, whether they like it or not! Even driving down the road everyone follows a path. That is how I am teaching my fourteen year old how to drive on the highway. Find your path and stay on it till it is time to get off onto another path. This advice can also be used in life.

I changed my path in life several times. I feel that the path I am on is the path I was meant to be on. I found my path through many trial and errors. But, I needed to go through that process to become what I am today and to be on this path that I am now on.

Almost ten years ago, I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I came through that time because of the love of family, friends and doctors.

During the recovery time, I found an interesting fact. I am the descendent of Romanian Gypsies. While delving into family history, I became more attuned to different occurrences and aspects of the normal day-to-day happenings that I put down as coincidences.

The more I searched and the more I learned, the stronger my intuition and abilities in this area came to be. I started applying myself to learning all I could.

Now you can believe this or not, but, my health got better. I calmed down; I have not taken medication for nerves in over 7 years. Basically, I found a new world.

When you compare the universe, the earth, nature and life to mundane happenings of individual life, you get little understanding.

If you put them all together and apply the knowledge you can learn it is a totally different answer. I find it is a matter of common sense. Just the simple common sense to actually see with out the blinders that society puts on us.

I don't care if you have a different point of view. Just share it with me. Meet me on common ground. Compromise. See, a little common sense. It does wonders. My life is more than someone saying she is a witch. It is the magic of life. Just of being.

Can it be just that simple? Yes, it can if you can see the peaceful co-existence of life, nature, and the universe.

Because of my abilities in intuition and being able to see through the mundane and the social blinders, I have become a counselor.

People come to me to help them heal their life. I help them to see through their problems and how to rectify them. I help them find their own path. I do not tell them, I guide them.

Tarot is a tool I use to help people find a pathway through their soul, to guide and nurture life.

Now, look at any wall near you, what do you see? A wall??

Ok, try to see your wall again through my eyes. I see a beautiful night sky with stars and moon and nature. For, if you only see a wall that is all you will ever see. Go beyond the natural way of doing things. Take off your blinders. Once you can see what the world is like, you will love being in that world. Never take life for granted. Live your life. Once you see this new world never go back to the old one. You will find peace. You will find you can deal with the everyday nuances of life. It is a calming influence in the everyday world. It is easier finding a compromise to any situation. This is my world. When I am counseling young adults, I ask them to look at the person behind them, before them, all around them. I ask, what if one of them died tomorrow? What if one of them was your boss? What if you fell in love with that person tomorrow, but were not kind to them today??

Kindness, a small insignificant thing. Unless, of course, you are on the receiving end of the kindness. Then it could mean a world of difference. Nature is kind to us. Let us be kind back. Don't litter. If you see an ailing plant give it some water. See an animal crushed in the road or even along side of road? Surround it with the white light and send its soul on its way just in case it hadn't went.

It just takes a moment in time to show a little kindness. If it is a helping hand or just a smile, it is a large stepping-stone to peace.

If we all give peace a fighting chance, we will come back with harmony, goodness, and well-being.

I cannot begin to tell you how different my life is now then what it was before. I wish I could make everyone comprehend the quiet joy, the peace within, and the pure energy of the universe.

This path I am on is my religion. Many people go to church on Saturday and Sunday, but do not follow through with their convictions the rest of the week. I embrace my religion daily. I help everyone. In this way, this is my PAGAN PRIDE. If I say it, I do it, I live it.

I am not a writer. I have a problem trying to put down my life in words. I am a simple person who tries to see the good in all, who tries to help anyone who needs it, who lives the Saturdays and Sundays the whole week.

My Story
Blushing Angel.

I don't know if this is any good for any Ezine or not, but it is my story. In 1980 I was a 27 year old female, finally accepted into an auto mechanic's course at the community college after 5 years of trying to make them believe that I wanted and could do the work. I was engaged to a younger man at the time, and was anxious about going into a class that I was positive would be a classroom full of men (which I wasn't wrong about either). I was shy and very scared, but wanted this so badly that I took a breath and stepped through that door of the classroom and into my future.

This is where it gets "funny". There was a young man there, (I'll call him Chris) patting the desk chair beside him for me to come and sit down there. Now this is nothing that I had ever done before, because I always sat in the back, far corner of the classroom, just so that I could see everyone and didn't feel eyes on me from behind. BUT this time, my feet just wouldn't take me there, they took me to the chair that this man was patting. That was the start of a life change for me.

[I have known all along about the "flags" that we have before we agree to come here to this life, but I hadn't ever really recognized any until much later in life. I believe now that it took me that long to get into the class so that I would be able to meet this man. He was my destiny. Let me tell you the rest of the story and you will see what I mean].

We ended up in a loving relationship (after he kicked out my fiancé) that lasted for 9 wonderful months. I was 27, and he was 17. (Yes, you read it right, 17!) I didn't believe it either, and made him show me his driver's license to make me believe. But I just couldn't help myself, I just couldn't leave him.

Now, I had a daughter (9 years old) and high blood pressure. Because of the high blood pressure, my docs told me that it would be too dangerous for me to have any more children. So I had to tell Chris this, as he was wanting children of his own as well as mine. He couldn't accept that, so he broke it off. I was so heartbroken, I still to this day don't remember the breakup or the following 6 months after the breakup either for that matter. I just know that we weren't together anymore.

During the next 15 years, I had moved to another province and back, had 3 other relationships, including a 10 year marriage and a 6 year old son. (Yes, my doc. that I finally had years later said that I could have a child, just needed to be watched more carefully.) That marriage didn't turn out too good, and it was all but over except for the leaving.

Then one day at work, (by this time, I was working at an electronics firm using a soldering iron) I was listening to the radio and low and behold the name of this man came across the airwaves! I was in shock! I dropped my soldering iron, just barely missing my leg, and the flood of memories came rushing back.

My sister had kept in touch with him over the years, going for coffee with him and his wife, and telling me that he was happily married with a son of his own. But actually, he had gotten himself into trouble, and had to do some jail time. I finally got his address from my sister (which knew about him all the time, just didn't want me to know). Well, I got up the nerve and wrote him a letter, but telling him that if he didn't want to hear from me that I would respect his wishes. It took at least a week and a half to finally hear back from him (seemed like forever!) But it was all good, he wanted to hear from me, and he was getting divorced, but was engaged again and going to move to the next province after he got out.. My heart fell again to my toes!

But I decided that whatever time I could have with him was worth it. So Ikept writing and went out to see him every time I could. It turned out that we had lived parallel lives in the time that we were apart. He had married May 11, 1985, I married May 14, 1985. My son was born Feb. 1987, his was born June 1988. He separated Nov. 1995, my marriage was finished Nov. 1995. He used to deliver across the street from my in-laws. He worked for 7 years at a place that I drove by on my way to work. There were so many times that we should have crossed paths, and didn't, that it's amazing.

The first time I went to see him at the jail, his ex-wife (Cindy) was there with their son, and I was just going to go home until the next time I got the nerve to go back there. But the guard told me to wait and like a fool, I argued with him that I would go and come back some other time. But the guard won out coz he didn't take no for an answer, and called Chris out to the office from the visiting room. When he walked through the door, it was like there had been no time since the last time I saw him. The sparks flew and there was no one there but us. Well, within about 2 months, he had broken up with his fiancé, started his divorce and asked me to marry him again. So we married on May 29, 1996 and have been blissfully happy since then. I have met his ex-wife, and we get along wonderfully. She and their son even came out and stayed with us for a week last year for holidays (they live in a different province than we do). His son calls me Mom 2 and my son calls his ex Mother so we know who the kids are talking to. I can just imagine what someone that doesn't know us thinks when they hear the kids talking to us. In looking back over the time, I believe that the only way that "our angels" could get us back on track was to get Chris to go to jail so that he was in one place and I could find him. Seemed like all the other ways weren't working. Whatever the reasons, I am forever grateful that things turned out the way that they did, because I have not just gotten a wonderful husband, but 2 great sons, and a loving "sister" from all this. My family is almost complete. At long last. (Now I just need to convince her and her new fiancé to move out here to beautiful British Columbia and then it would be complete.)

That is my story. I know that if I had read that, I would have thought that it was made up out of someone's fantasy, but because I have lived it I can say that dreams can come true. I never thought that I would ever find the happiness that I had with Chris in that 9 months we had together. And if I never would have, I would have been so very grateful that I was able to experience it for that short a time.

I wish that everyone could have the happiness that I have found with this one man.
