Spirit Circle, in it's effort, to increase greater understanding and awareness, is proud to offer the following workshops and classes to the public for a nominal fee. We feel that it is important to offer these classes and workshops, and this listing will be continually updated and more classes will be made available to non-members. These courses, can be either snail mailed to you, or they can be sent to you by email. Prices for these methods, are listed with each class. We are in the process of opening up many of our coming workshops in the next few months to the public as well for a nominal fee. You do have the option of becoming a member and receiving the lessons and workshops free.

The workshops will be held in Spirit Circle's Chatrooms, and temporary access will be given for these events.

An Introduction to Meditation

The Meditation Lessons are a collection of 10 lessons in total. We are offering at this time, free of charge, the first two lessons in this series. Empathy Course

Definition

Empathy is the ability to identify with and understand another person's situation and feelings. Our ability to empathize affects how well we communicate our thoughts and feelings with others, how well we understand others, and how comfortable people feel communicating with us. It is at the root of meaningful and deep communication.

Being empathic is not always an easy ability to live with. As with all abilities, it has its pitfalls, and can be the cause of deep misery in some. It can also be a deeply spiritual experience and become part of your personal growth.

Course Format

Activation, Control and Utilisation of Empathy.
The course will consist of discussions, assignments: reading and case studies, diary/journal keeping and a suggested reading list with links to net sites etc.
There will be empathic response assignments (yours and your subjects)
The ‘Fear’ response will also be studied.
Body Language studies (again incorporating the fear response).
The Art of the ‘gentle probe’ to gauge your accuracy.
A ‘shields up Mr Spock’ session/sessions where will we discuss ways of protecting your own sense of well being while enhancing that sense in your subjects.
We will begin with a discussion group and the setting of the first assignments.
All sessions are designed to be used by those with a well developed empathic response as well as those just beginning. The ‘controlled’ situations and records kept will be invaluable in developing control and understanding in both groups.
A journal of your thoughts, feelings and physical responses must be kept as a record for your own use.
We envisage that each assignment will take a week. Some will finish sooner but you will have to be patient :-)
